Product Details
The YT‑320 Volume Booster Relay is a pneumatic accessory used in control valve systems to improve the response speed of valve actuators. It receives the output signal from the valve positioner and amplifies the air flow from the supply line to the actuator. By increasing the air flow capacity, the volume booster helps the actuator move faster, especially in applications where large actuators or long air lines are used.
This device maintains the same pressure ratio between the positioner signal and the actuator pressure while significantly increasing the air volume delivered to the actuator. As a result, the control valve can respond more quickly to control signals, reducing response time and improving overall control performance.
The YT‑320 volume booster is commonly installed between the positioner and the actuator. When the positioner sends a pressure signal, the booster rapidly supplies additional compressed air to the actuator chamber. This function minimizes time delays, enhances valve stroke speed, and stabilizes valve operation in demanding industrial processes.
Using a volume booster like the YT‑320 is particularly beneficial in systems that require fast valve movement, precise control, and stable pressure regulation, such as petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, oil and gas processing units, and other industrial automation environments.
Features
• By-passing control enhances safety of control valve
• Response to slight changes in input signal, which increases accuracy of output of air pressure to actuator
• Built-in 100 mesh screen filters dusts in the air
